Rosie Westbrook is one of Melbourne's most established and eclectic musicians - touring and recording with artists such as Mick Harvey (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds), Sean Kelly (Models), Lisa Miller, Dan Brodie, Steve Preswich (Cold Chisel), Michael Thomas (Weddings, Parties, Anything), Spencer P.Jones (Beasts of Bourbon) and folk/world music artist, Kavisha Mazzella.
Rosie had formal music training in classical guitar and double bass. After graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts, she continued bass studies in Europe and America. Since the mid 1980's Rosie has worked as a bassist with symphony orchestras, opera and music theatre productions, on soundtracks for film and television productions and as a session musician on many recording projects.
Now Rosie steps into the spotlight to give us music in her own write. Following on from the critically acclaimed "Wave" album of 2003, her second solo album "Big As The Ocean" has just been released.
