Wild Beasts

Touring for Splendour In The Grass, England’s Wild Beasts were founded as a duo in 2002. They were joined by a drummer in 2004 and following the release of a self-titled EP they added a bass player to the lineup. With their breezy pop sound and front man Hayden Thorpe’s theatrical falsetto, the group earned a dedicated local following, released a number of singles and a debut album in 2008. Nominated for the 2010 Mercury Prize (taken out by The xx), Wild Beasts have just released a new album ‘Smother’, which The Guardian called “gentle and immaculately arranged.”
