Sistar

Sistar (씨스타, also stylized as SI★, SiSTAR) is a four-member girl group from Seoul, South Korea, under the management of Starship Entertainment.The four members are: Bora / 윤보라, Soyou / 강지현, Hyorin / 김효정 and Dasom / 김다솜. Their group name is a combination of the words "Sister" and "Star", meaning they are meant to be sisters in the entertainment business and become big stars. SiSTAR made their first appearance through a Céci magazine photo in England shoot on March 19, 2010 for the clothing company FUBU.

TVXQ (often stylized TVXQ! or TVfXQ), an acronym for Tong Vfang Xien Qi (東方神起), is a South Korean quintet (by now continuing as a duo as of December 2010, due to three of the members filing lawsuit against SME) formed under SM Entertainment in 2003. In South Korea they are known as Dong Bang Shin Gi (동방신기, DBSK); they were later introduced in Japan as Tohoshinki (東方神起, Tōhōshinki) under the Avex sub-label Rhythm Zone in 2005. Their name translates as "The Rising Gods of the East".

SHINee

SHINee is a contemporary R&B group from Seoul, South Korea. Formed by SM 엔터테인먼트 in 2008, they made their debut on May 25, 2008 on SBS's Popular Songs with their promotional single, "누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay)", or "Noona, You're So Pretty (Replay)." The group consists of Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Since their debut, SHINee has won numerous awards. They have also starred in their own reality show (Yunhanam) based on their song, "누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay)". SHINee are considered to be a fashion icon, having started the "SHINee Trend," which is popular amongst the younger generation.

MBLAQ

MBLAQ, (an acronym for Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality) is a South Korean quintet boy band created by Korean pop R&B singer, producer and actor Rain (비) under a branch of his label J.Tune Entertainment called J.Tune Camp. The five members include Seung Ho, G.O, Joon, Thunder/Cheon Doong, and Mir. The group debuted on October 9, 2009 at Rain's Legend of Rainism concert. On October 14, 2009 the group released their debut single album, Just BLAQ, which topped various on-line and off-line music charts in South Korea.

4Minute

4minute (Korean: 포미닛) is a girl group from Seoul, South Korea, founded by cube entertainment in 2009. The group consists of Ji Hyun (남지현), Ga Yoon (허가윤), Ji Yoon (전지윤), Hyuna (현아) and So Hyun (권소현). 4minute was announced in May 2009 along with two of the group's members Nam Jihyun and Kim Hyuna, former member of Wonder Girls. On June 11, 2009, the silhouette teaser video was released online along with their official website.

카라

Kara (카라) is a popular South Korean girl group formed by DSP Entertainment, debuting in 2007 with the single "Break It" and the album "The First Blooming". The group consists of Park Gyuri (Leader), Han Seungyeon, Jung Nicole, Kang Jiyoung, Goo Hara. KARA was originally a 4 member group until former lead singer Kim Sunghee decided to leave in February of 2008. Soon after, she was replaced by new members Goo Hara and Kang Jiyoung, making KARA a 5 member group.

소녀시대 / 少女時代 / SNSD / So Nyuh Shi Dae (Girls' Generation), is a nine member girl group from South Korea formed in 2007 by SM 엔터테인먼트. The group debuted on SBS Inkigayo on August 5, 2007, performing their first single, 다시 만난 세계 (Into the new world). The members are (in order of official announcement): 윤아 (Yoona), 티파니 (Tiffany), 유리 (Yuri), 효연 (Hyoyeon), 수영 (Sooyoung), 서현 (Seohyun), 태연 (Taeyeon), 제시카 (Jessica) and 써니 (Sunny).

miss A

Miss A (aka 미스에이, in Hangul), is a South Korean girl group under AQ Entertainment, sub-label of JYPE. miss A began as a five member group and were known as the JYP Sisters. One of the original members was Hye Lim, who replaced Sun Mi of the Wonder Girls. The two remaining members of the group, Wang Fei Fei and Meng Jia, soon had Suzy Bae added making the group into a trio. They released a CF song 다시 사랑 in Korea along with a Chinese version in China in June of 2010. They later added a final member, Min Yong who had trained with JYPE nine years prior to debut.

B2ST

BEAST (in Korean: 비스트, stylized as B2ST) is a six-member boy band from South Korea, under Cube Entertainment. The group was originally known as B2ST, an acronym for Boys to Search for Top. However, their name was changed to BEAST (Boys of the East Standing Tall) a few days before debut. They released their first mini-album Beast Is the B2ST on October 14, 2009. There were many news articles on the group before its debut as many of them had previous experience in the entertainment industry.
