Minute 36 was created amidst the winter of 2007 in the small coastal town of Albany, Western Australia. The unique sound was provoked by historic Albany’s local ghosts and influenced by creepy film scores. The debut EP “Era Quondam” was released in March 2008. Recorded by Perth’s infamous Alan Smith, the tracks were laid with next to no effects or digital processing. The instrumentation consists of a stripped back two piece drum set, double bass, violin, cello and arch top/classical guitars.
