From the small rear courtyard of a pub in Port Melbourne to stages in New York, Auckland, Vancouver and all over Australia, Hall of Famer’s, The Painters and Dockers are a musical institution and are turning 40!
Since 1983 and with well over 2000 shows under their belt as well as eleven album releases, the band have performed with the likes of Iggy Pop, Billy Idol, Nick Cave, The Monkees, Midnight Oil, The Cramps, Divinyls, Divine and Jonathan Richmond to name but a few.
To mark the band’s 40th anniversary, a selection of old and new vinyl product will be launched, as well as lead singer and outrageous frontman, Paulie Stewart’s autobiographical book, ‘ALL THE RAGE’.
The Painters and Dockers will perform at their favourite Melbourne gig, MEMO Music Hall.
