High Contrast

As a winner of the Essential Mix of the Year 2007 on BBC's Radio 1, the name High Contrast needs no introduction, although when a young Lincoln Barrett signed on the dotted line back in 2000 he was a complete unknown. Signed on the strength of his mini-disc demos, the Welsh wonder has smashed his way through the Drum & Bass scene in no time at all. Flux Pavilion

Hitting the scene in early 2009 out of Towcester, UK, Joshua Steele (better known as Flux Pavilion) secured himself a solid stance in the dubstep world. His blend of hard smashing rhythms and manic basslines have certainly gained him an audience. Also as a musician he has incorporated his singing and instrumental talent into his tracks. Well known for his high energy sets, he is being booked home and abroad for his unique take on the dubstep sound.

Shinra

1. As a young primary school boy, Shinra first started his audio experiments on his trusty Amiga 600 computer, producing goodness knows what with OCTAmed 4 software. As the years went by, he spent many long hours on the decks in his living room, djing progressive house to an audience of just himself :( Fast forward to about the year 2000, when he first obtained a cd by the mighty Aphex, and his musical tastes were forever changed. Since then, Shinra has been banging out crazy tunes on his laptop like nobody's business.

Zedd

Zedd, being born into a family of musicians, began playing the piano at the age of four. After several years of learning to master the piano, Anton began playing the drums in a band, and composed and produced numerous rocksongs in his band's own studio. In 2009 he began producing electronic clubmusic, to much and quick acclaim. After a period of only few months he attained a remarkable level and participated in Beatport's "Armand Van Helden / Strictly Rhythm Remix Contest", which he went on to win.

Avant Hard

AVANT HARD is the alter-ego of Liverpool based producer and remixer, George O'Connor. After moving from Birmingham to Liverpool in 2007, George (aka Avant Hard) started a course in Music Technology at the Community College, where he became interested in producing electronic music. Since then, the interest has flourished into something of an obsession and Avant Hard and his synths and samples have become inseparable.

The Aston Shuffle

In 2005 after being friends and associated production whores with Mikah Freeman, Vance Musgrove & Ross McGrath started their digital label project, dubbed The Aston Shuffle. What started off as a group effort to get their previously unreleased tunes to the masses has skyrocketed into 2007 with the group heavily in demand for their white hot remixes – a little electro, a little techno, but all house. When the swing on their tunes hits the dance floor you’ll be more than pleasantly surprised how hard it is keep your body from going retarded.

Stanton Warriors

The Stanton Warriors have succeeded in not only bucking musical definition but have picked it up by the collar and kicked its ass. They've also done this in true underground warrior style as despite becoming the first breakbeat act ever to sign to a major label (warner, no less), they were required to, in their eyes, compromise their style for the sake of shifting units. As a result they refused to put out any releases and focused on the DJing whilst a new label was sought (V2).

NorthBorne

"NorthBorne" is all about electronic experiments, electronic beats, happiness, aggression, pleasure from pain and monotone grooves. Concord Dawn, Matt Harvey & Evan Short, are a popular drum and bass duo originally from wellington, New Zealand. They own and run Uprising Records with such popular drum and bass songs as "Don't Tell Me" in collaboration with Tiki Taane and "Get Ready" featuring rapper Scribe. They have gained popularity in their home country being the second highest selling electronic artist ever and have been popular with australia's Drum and Bass followers.
