Noah and the Whale

Noah and the Whale is an alternative/folk group formed in Twickenham, London, England in 2006. They consist of Charlie Fink (vocals, guitar), Tom Hobden (fiddle), Matt "Urby Whale" Owens (bass), Fred Abbott (keyboards) and Jack Hamson (drums). Doug Fink (drums) and Laura Marling (vocals, guitar) are former members of the band. According to Songfacts, the band's name is a marriage of the title of one of their favorite films, The Squid and the Whale and Noah Baumbach, who directed the movie.

We Are The Ocean

We Are The Ocean is an English post-hardcore band from Loughton, Essex. The band formed in 2007 and have since toured with such bands as The Used, Lostprophets, Underoath, Thrice, Funeral for a Friend, Fightstar and You Me At Six. The band blend many different styles but most recently have drifted away from post-hardcore towards a softer rock sound, with Dan's screams replaced with a more gravelly singing style and more emphasis placed on choruses and hooks.

Does It Offend You, Yeah?

Does It Offend You, Yeah? are an alternative/electronic band which formed in Reading, England in 2006. The band currently consists of James Rushent (vocals, guitar), Matty Derham (guitar, synthesizer), Chloe Duveaux (bass), Dan Coop (synthesizer) and Rob Bloomfield (drums). Guitarist Morgan Quaintance left the band in mid-2009. They released their first album, You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into on March 24, 2008. They are currently recording their follow up album, Don't Say We Didn't Warn You.

Dizzee Rascal

Dylan Mills, known professionally as Dizzee Rascal (born November 1, 1985), is a grime solo artist, formerly a Roll Deep crew member, who emerged from the UK Garage music scene. His music was a blend of garage MCing, conventional rap, grime and ragga, with some more eclectic samples. Dizzee began MCing on pirate radio and at raves at fifteen, but since his mainstream success he has distanced himself from the fledgling scene.

Hurts

There is more than one band with the name Hurts: 1. Manchester, UK electro-pop duo Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson .
Formed in 2009, elegant and enigmatic HURTS have their sharp suits, slick hair and stark visuals. Theo and Adam present a striking contrast to the glow-in-the-dark pop stars who have run amok across the charts of late. Looking like they would rather be on the cover of Vogue Hommes than NME or Smash Hits, the pair resemble Tears for Fears as shot by Anton Corbijn.

Paul Di'Anno

Paul Di'Anno began his professional musical career singing with <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Iron+Maiden" class="bbcode_artist">Iron Maiden</a> in 1978. His style has been described as more punk-influenced than Iron Maiden's following vocalist Bruce Dickinson. Di'Anno left the band after two albums, the reasons for so vary between sources; either leaving by his own will or being sacked due to excessive drug and drinking habits with a conflicting personality . Despite his short tenure in the band, Paul Di'Anno is seen as a major factor in the early development of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement.

The Kooks

British indie rock band - formed in Brighton, England, United Kingdom in 2004. The band currently consists of Luke Pritchard (vocals, guitar), Hugh Harris (guitar), and Alexis Nunez (drums). They have released five studio albums; their 2006 debut Inside In/Inside Out peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart, and their 2008 follow up Konk reached number one. The Junk Of The Heart (Happy) Songfacts reports that Pritchard found himself writing lyrics containing a lot of emotional drama for their third album and the phrase â€˜junk of the heartâ€™ kept coming back to him. Junk Of The Heart was released September 12, 2011. The Kooks released two more albums: Listen (2014), and Let's Go Sunshine (2018), which both peaked within the top 20.

The Kooks formed at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music, where they were all students. Lead singer and rhythm guitarist Luke Pritchard, got bassist Max Rafferty involved in a college project, which formed the base of the band. After getting lead guitarist Hugh Harris and drummer Paul Garred involved, they took their name from the song Kooks on the 1971 David Bowie album Hunky Dory. When they tried to trademark the name, they found that in the late/mid 1990s a Swedish band by the same name released an album in Sweden called Too Much is Not Enough.

The Kooks released a debut EP and played gigs around Brighton, where they were based at the time. They were signed to Virgin Records.

2. Swedish indie rock/alternative band - It consisted of members Henrik Berglund, Leo Dahlin, Michael Lohse and Josef Zackrisson, and was active between 1998 and the early 2000's. Kele

A solo project of London, UK, singer-songwriter Kele Okereke (of Bloc Party). His début single, Tenderoni, was released on 14 June 2010. The Boxer album (released 21 June 2010, on Wichita, plus Polydor in UK & Glassnote in US), was produced mainly in New York with XXXchange (known for his work in the hip-hop group Spank Rock).
