The Gifthorse were a punk band hailing from Brisbane, Queensland. They draw influence from many 90's punk/emo bands such as Samiam, Hot Water Music, Texas Is The Reason and Jawbreaker. Members have gone on to play in Fires of Waco and Headaches.

In February 2005, Auckland-based guitarists Antony Royle and Derek Wu teamed up with South African classical violinist Yvette Van Wyk to form an experimental symphonic metal project called Iraena’s Ashes. Joined in the studio by bassist Kris O’Brien and drummer Robert Bryson, the group recorded two tracks which would signal the beginnings of a new brand of Kiwi Metal.
Later that year, the 5 track ‘Severance’ EP was released by the band now known as ALPINE FAULT.

Mr. Maps are a five-piece instrumental rock band from Brisbane, Australia. Ghost Boy with Golden Virtues is a band based in Brisbane, Australia. They describe themselves as "avant-garde cabaret punk performance art." Their first album, Enter, was released in February 2010. The lead single “Wolfish” received multiple airplay on radio 4ZZZ, Triple J and Rage. The 2nd single from the album was "Love Me". It also included reworkings of Iggy Pop & Serge Gainsbourg songs. The songs and the music are unashamedly explicit and erotically charged.
