Jamie Lidell

Jamie Lidell (born September 18, 1973, Huntingdon, England) is a musician and soul singer, signed to Warp. Famed for his largely improvised shows, that see Jamie constructing his tracks live, voicing and layering right in front of your eyes, effortlessly whipping them out of the air and forging them into clanking electro riffs and deathprod funk grooves. Likened to Sly Stone, Prince and Little Richard, he is Britain's voice of soul for the new era.

Generation Gap

Generation Gap(1995 -1996) was the old band of Alex Band(it was his second band) and Aaron Kamin(both from The Calling) when they began playing together. The band consisted of Alex Band(15), Aaron Kamin(19), a 58 year old drummer and a 40 year old bassguitarist. The huge difference in ages obviously was the reason for the bandname.
When Alex Band and Aaron Kamin got a record deal with RCA Records, the band split up. The Demo Cd consisted of 5 tracks;

There are at least two artists that share the name Declan Kelly. 1. A Sydney-based soul and roots act. 2. Declan Kelly, the deejay, has been an active member of Melbourne's music community for the last 10 years. Through Dj'ing in; clubs, bars and festivals; producing music; designing sound for theatre; touring international artists; and his well-received and eclectic radio programs on PBS and RRR, he has gained a reputation as someone who cares about sound and constructs it as such, often working in tandem with musical partner Richard Campbell under their Research & Development alias.

Leon Thomas

Amos Leon Thomas Jr (born 1937, died May 8, 1999) was an American avant garde jazz singer from East St. Louis, Illinois. He changed his name to Leone in 1974. Thomas is best known for his work with Pharoah Sanders, particularly the 1969 song "The Creator Has a Master Plan" from Sanders' Karma album. Thomas's most distinctive device was that he often broke out into yodeling in the middle of a vocal. This style has influenced singers James Moody and Tim Buckley,among others.

Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews (born January 2, 1986) is a trombone and trumpet player from New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. Troy Andrews is the younger brother of trumpeter and bandleader James Andrews . Growing up in New Orleans' Treme neighborhood, "Trombone Shorty" was participating in brass band parades as a child, carrying his trombone even before his arms were long enough to reach all the positions of the slide. Andrews was a bandleader by the age of 6. Originally attracting attention for his youth, by his teens he was attracting attention for his musical virtuosity as well.

Kool & the Gang are an American jazz/R&B/soul/funk/disco group. They originally formed in Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S. in 1964. They went through several musical phases in their career, starting out with a purist jazz sound, becoming practitioners of R&B and funk, progressing to a smooth disco ensemble, and ended the successful period of their career producing pop/R&B crossovers.
