Box Elder

Box Elder is a band from Adelaide Australia. Their sound has evolved between noise and indie pop influences including bands such as Pavement, Sonic Youth, Frusciante, Joy Division, the Strokes etc along that vibe. Shows may include second drum kits, glockenspiel, harmonica, synthesizer and a variety of percussion instruments, layered on top of three guitars, bass and drums. Oh, and delay. Their first EP 'Rewind the Fall' was recorded, mixed and mastered in their homes and will be physically available soon. Plans for recording of tracks for an album are evolving alongside new material.

Obits

Every so often over the past few years you’d hear a whisper about this new Brooklyn band featuring a couple of indie rock veterans. Supposedly they’d been practicing since 2006, but weren’t ready to play live yet. Then they finally did play and immediately a bootleg recording of that first show spread all over the web. In lieu of having anything recorded for people to hear, the band even put some of the songs on its MySpace page.

AV大久保

www.myspace.com/avokubo Hailing from industrial Wuhan, AV Okubo was founded in 2006. The name of the band comes from a part of a Hong Kong Movie, First Love:The Litter on The Breeze. Their performances are electrifying and burst with the crackling energy and sophisticated take on our throwaway garbage culture that animates the best pulp fiction and b-movies of the 1940s and 1950s. All the band members in AV Okubo were born in the 1980s, and it clearly comes through in their music.

Funeral Party is a four-piece band that formed late one night in a park. Hardcore bands and metal bands dominated the local music scene at the time in Whittier, California, an East Los Angeles suburb comprised of mostly working-class enclaves. In the East Los Angeles neighborhoods adjacent to Whittier however, a post-punk dance-craze revival was emerging and Funeral Party began gigging every weekend. The band quickly developed a following and a D.I.Y.
