Matt Nathanson

Matt Nathanson (born March 28, 1973 in Lexington, Massachusetts) is a singer-songwriter whose work is a blend of folk and rock music. In addition to singing, he plays acoustic and electric guitar (usually a twelve-string), and has played both solo and with a full band. The Faster Songfacts says that his seventh studio album, Modern Love debuted on #17 on the Billboard 200 for the week of July 9, 2011, making it Nathanson's most successful album to date.

Carus Thompson

Carus Thompson is the vocalist, guitarist and songwriter of the Australian reggae band Carus and The True Believers. Carus was born in Fremantle, Australia in 1976. He developed a taste for music at a young age and began playing musical instruments at 12 years of age. By the time he turned 18 Carus was making a living out of performing and so he began the band, Carus and The True Believers. Carus describes his music as being a mix of roots, folk, reggae, and funk, though in a recent interview pointed out he would like his music to be known mainly as "Australian.

Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu

Blind from birth, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu is from the Gumatj nation and his mother is from the Galpu nation, both from North East Arnhemland. A former member of Yothu Yindi, now with his own Saltwater Band, whose members are all from Galiwin'ku on Elcho Island. Gurrumul's beautiful voice sings the songs of his Gumatj country.

Newton Faulkner

Born January 11, 1985 as Sam Newton Battenberg Faulkner. Faulkner began playing guitar at the age of 11-12 with session guitarist Bob "crazy guy" Cranham and also attended the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, where he spent 2 years gaining both diploma and the higher diploma award under the tutelage of Eric Roche. His first band was a Green Day cover band, in which he played bass guitar.

Josh Ritter (born in Moscow, Idaho on October 21, 1976) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and author who performs and records with The Royal City Band (as Josh Ritter & The Royal City Band). Ritter is known for his distinctive Americana style and narrative lyrics. In 2006 he was named one of the "100 Greatest Living Songwriters" by Paste magazine. Born to two neuroscientists, Ritter bought his first guitar from the local K-MART after hearing the Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash classic Girl From the North Country.
