Moon Duo

San Francisco’s Moon Duo was formed in 2009 by Sanae Yamada and Erik Johnson (Wooden Shjips). Inspired initially by the legendary duo of John Coltrane and Rashied Ali, Moon Duo counts such variant groups as Silver Apples, Royal Trux, Moolah, Suicide, and Cluster as touchstones. Utilizing primarily guitar, keyboards, percussion and vocals, the duo plays space against form to create a primordial and disorienting sonic stew.

Spokes

Spokes are an alt-indie band based in Manchester, UK. Brought together in 2006 by a combination of boyhood friendships, family ties and a relentless love of recording and touring. They quickly made a name for themselves as a loud and passionate band as they travelled the country in cramped vans, steadily perfecting their ecstatic highs and devastating lows. In 2007 they recorded their debut EP People Like People Like You which combined their folk inflected indie with more flowing structures influenced by post-rock and classical music.

restream

Brisbane, Australia. Restream is a producer creating shoegaze lofi post-rock. Though there are ideas from laptop music, glitch and abstract hip hop, this album is about songs, epics more often than not, with a firm focus on harmonies and textures more than the intricacies of beat science. His debut release "Loopsforstereogram" corresponds to a computer artist wringing life out of computers, repeating the improvised, integrating the indie record collection with the electronic.

The Matador

Since their inception, The Matador have continued to cast themselves apart from the Australian mainstream of heavy music by pushing the boundaries of sound experimentation. Their progressive and dark undertoned layers of music range from down tempo, complex soundscape arrangements to epic, driving walls of earth crushingly heavy guitars, drums and vocals. With an imminent EP release on the way, expect to see The Matador continue to push these boundaries.

Devin Townsend Project begins where Ziltoid the Omniscient left off, with Devin Townsend at the helm. The project is a planned four-album series.
