Starving Weirdos
Starving Weirdos are from northern California's lost coast, a sleepy hamlet surrounded by five hours of wilderness in all directions. They are a wild and desperate style music band. They dig on the quiet and natural beauty that defines their environs and try to carry the same spirit of dignity mixed with brute force and docile felicity as it appears to them daily. No discord and no harmony.
Grails
Grails is an American instrumental rock band from Portland, Oregon. Initially going by the name "Laurel Canyon", guitarist Alex Hall, drummer Emil Amos (also of 'Holy Sons') and second guitarist Paul Spitz garnered positive reactions following their first show, played on a whim. Portland musicians Timothy Horner (violin) and Bill Slater (piano/bass) later joined the group to record their first EP.
Pimmon
Rough-edged laptop electronica from Sydney, Australia since 1999. Halfway between Eno and Oval, with a kind of punk energy that pulls the thing along. Fantastic. Lots of releases on Tigerbeat6, Fals.ch, Sirr, Fat Cat etc. Assembler, a mini-album for the uber-coolische label and design house Fallt is available to download free.
Yolke
Over time the 4-piece psych/ambient unit Yolke have swum between bittersweet confusion and thick lucid sonics, and crackled forward their 2010 debut EP Poppy Wash, which not so much leaves their conception behind, but instead stows it in the subconscious.
Formed while field researching sound in Melbourne early 2008, they began playing live in October of the same year, and have since dotted many nights with technocolour soundscapes and phosphorous encrusted beats.
Panoptique Electrical
PANOPTIQUE ELECTRICAL is both an experimental studio project by Jason Sweeney and instrumentalist collaboration with electronic and classical musicians Zoë Barry, Jed Palmer and Tristan Louth-Robins. Jason has been composing sound and music scores for live theatre, dance, film/video and installation projects since 1998. He is one half of the duos, Pretty Boy Crossover, School of Two and Luxury Gap. He also performs with the Australian band, Mist & Sea.
Moon Duo
San Francisco’s Moon Duo was formed in 2009 by Sanae Yamada and Erik Johnson (Wooden Shjips). Inspired initially by the legendary duo of John Coltrane and Rashied Ali, Moon Duo counts such variant groups as Silver Apples, Royal Trux, Moolah, Suicide, and Cluster as touchstones. Utilizing primarily guitar, keyboards, percussion and vocals, the duo plays space against form to create a primordial and disorienting sonic stew.

There are three bands called The Archivist; 1. The Archivist makes songs in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Nosaj Thing
Los Angeles producer Nosaj Thing crafts stately, ethereal synth-based instrumental hip-hop, with influences that range from Boards of Canada and DJ Shadow to Danny Elfman and Erik Satie. An L.A. native, Jason Chung was inspired at an early age by the hip-hop radio stations that the bus driver would play on his way to elementary school, and particularly by the Beat Junkies' turntablism on Power 106.
The Album Leaf
The Album Leaf officially began in 1998 as the solo project of Jimmy LaValle, guitarist for San Diego, California-based post-rock band Tristeza. LaValle has also performed in several other San Diego-area bands, including Swing Kids, The Locust, GoGoGo Airheart, and The Black Heart Procession. An Orchestrated Rise to Fall Jimmy LaValle had been playing guitar in the post-rock instrumental band Tristeza.
