LOREN is the name for more than an artists. 1. Their infectious sound and engaging live show has been recruiting Bomba lovers around the country for the last four years. This Melbourne based, five piece, funky reggae act first landed on the Australian scene as a way to play mutually loved music. After having played for a couple of years, the band's first full length release was the album Population which proved to be a winner with radio and Bomba fans alike.

The Dynamites

There have been at least five bands called The Dynamites.
1. An instrumental/beat band from Sarpsborg, Norway who excisted from 1958-1966. They released two singles on the Troll label and did a tour of East Germany in 1965. Two of the members went on to the freakbeat group The Divorced.
2. A garage/R&B/freakbeat band from Basel, Switzerland.
3. A 60s garage rock band from Japan which featured a slide guitar (unusual for a Japanese band at the time).

Kooii

The music of Kooii is unique, resting readily in a morphing Australian way of life. Their songs click with many, and the music is held dearly. Kooii breathe, roll and transform. They are a seven-piece collective with a ‘rootsy-tribal-groove’ that is both urban and earthy. Reggae, Jazz and Latin are realised in the sound. The group started some two and a half years ago as a duo of trumpeter Peter Hunt and percussionist Anthony Forrest (who both also play guitar). It has since grown to its present form.

Darky Roots

Darky Roots (dR) have bubbled to the top of the Brisbane Roots scene with their tight Aotearoa reggae sound and immaculate harmonies. dR are a 6 piece roots reggae movement formed in mid 2008 based in Brisbane made up of cats from all around Aotearoa, Mataio Uri,Josh Hillman from Palmerston North city, Paul Hillman from Friendly Feilding,Clem Karauti from Tat nth Auckland, Bevan Savage from Tokoroa, and Ali Files from Marton. dR original sound stems from the foundations of heavy roots drum and bass mashed with sweet 3 piece harmonies catchy melodies and concious lyrics.
