If asked to name the most entertaining and best-loved Australian band of the early '70s, it's a fair bet that most young people who lived through that period would nominate The Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band. This crazily brilliant Melbourne-based ensemble played a uniquely Aussie brand of jug-band blues, spiced with jazz, swing, popular standards, cabaret, sideshow alley schtick and vaudeville routines including slapstick, tap dancing, juggling, magic and even fire-eating.

They have a dense sound that combines jagged guitar with big droning synths and heavy IDM influences. The resultant sound is electronic pop rock, with some unusual effects and musical ideas thrown in. They have self-released two EP's at present, entitled Kittens & Regicide (which was also released as a limited edition USB stick featuring 18 songs & remix files)
Kool & The Gang are a highly successful jazz/ R&B/soul/funk/disco group. They originally formed in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States in 1964, playing jazz. They went through several musical phases in their career. They also played R&B and funk, eventually went through a phase where they were a smooth disco ensemble, and wound up the successful period of their career recording tunes that were a mixture of pop and R&B.

These Four Walls are a Hard Rock band based in Auckland, New Zealand. The Band currently consists of four members, but has previously perfomed as a five-piece. The current line-up features Lead Vocalist Steve Gibb also taking on the Rhythm Guitar duties, with Gray Vickers on Lead Guitar, Chris Treeby playing Bass and Brad Vickers playing Drums. The band has released three singles to radio and television in New Zealand, each recieving significant airplay on the major radio stations and TV channels in the country.
Brianna Carpenter remembers her childhood and the times she used to play Barbies whilst listening to Elton John. Ever since then Brianna has been fascinated by song writing and has developed through other musical influences such as Jamie Cullum, Ben Folds Regina Spektor and Bic Runga. Brianna now creates a mix of Folky Alternative Pop. Even though she was born completely deaf in one ear this has not stopped Brianna’s drive to compose. Brianna began song writing at the age of 13 and after writing her first real song "The Web" people started to recognize her talent.
